1.) Social Bookmarking Submission

In SEO, pinging means to notify search engines bots about your newly created backlinks so that they are crawled and are counted. Basically, Bing Pinging is used when we have updated new URL and would like to notify various search engine bots including Google and Bing to get ready to crawl and indexed.

I always uses Ping-O-Matic for Pinging URL that sends “pings” to notify all search engines bots that your blog has been updated and ready for re-crawled. It’s usually takes 3 to 7 days to get indexed.

Google Removes Public Search Engine Submission Tool for URL Indexing

Google Search Engine Submission

Recently, Google has removed its Search Engine submission tool from the public appearance, which allowed users to submit any web page to Google’s index.

Look that below image, what I got when I searched on Google’s for submitting URLs to Google is publicly gone.

Search Engine Submission Tool Appearance

I think that URL Inspection Tool is considered as a part of Google’s Search Console Beta Version. Hope Google is upgrading the search console’s options which can seem very soon.

Now Google is advising webmasters to use the Search Console’s Fetch as Google Submit a tool for indexing URL’s. Alternatively, website owners also can notify Google about new web pages with a sitemap file.

How to Submit Website URL to Google’s Search Engine for Indexing?

Now, the Question is that how could we submit our URL’s to Google’s Index. Don’t worry about that just follow the following steps for submitting a URL to Google’s index via Search Console.

  1. Go to Crawl Menu at the left sidebar in Search Console.
  2. Perform a fetch (or fetch and render) request option for a URL using Fetch as Google.
  3. Click on “Request indexing” which will appear in a few seconds next to the fetch in the fetch history table.
  4. Select whatever to crawl only that single URL or that URL with its direct links.
  5. Click on “Submit” for requesting.

Please note that Google allows webmasters to submit up to 10+ URLs per day. So don’t try to submit more than 10 URL’s a day.
The process of Re-crawling is not getting immediate or guaranteed. It may takes several days for a successful request to crawl your URL.

Before performing this process please make sure you must have logged in into your own Google Search Console account which already has verified ownership with your website. That could be a big trouble for those webmasters who want to request Google index for new URLs on sites they don’t personally own. such as a blog with a link notifying back to their website.
